Yesterday our newest Community Connections Flower Angels joyfully delivered bouquets to 40 people in Mayflower Nursing Facility bringing smiles to all! Our awesome Cape Abilities team delivered 46 vibrant arrangements to the Royal Cotuit nursing home, warming a lot of hearts. Gerry, our sweet and talented flower arranger from Orleans delivered 30 bouquets to the EPOCH Brewster nursing home bringing sunshine to 116 people in need of a little love. Flower Angels are on a mission…uplifting spirits and brightening days of many others!

Flower Angels USA , an all volunteer organization, was chosen for the prestigious New England Patriots Myra Kraft MVP Award. We are delighted to know this wonderful philanthropic organization honoring Myra Kraft’s dedication to volunteerism loved everything about our mission. We trust that Myra Kraft, Suzanne’s mother, Helen Carter, and all of our mothers are smiling down on us! On June 9th Flower Angels Deb and Kathi and our Founders, Suzanne and her daughter Mara, will attend a luncheon at the Gillette Stadium and be presented with this amazing award-an awesome blessing for our charitable organization and dedicated Flower Angel team.
We are filled with gratitude to the Kraft family for this honor and recognition of our service to the often forgotten elderly in nursing homes and our differently-abled…a partnership made in heaven. Floral partners Trader Joes, Shaws Supermarkets and many brides generously donate flowers to our organization to be recycled and repurposed. The fresh, lovely bouquets have brought a moment of kindness and 7203 smiles to those most in need of a random act of love to brighten their day.

The sense of isolation is very deeply felt by those who are lonely. There is no deeper sadness that ever comes over the mind than the idea that we are alone in the world, that we do not have a friend, that no one cares for us, that no one is concerned about anything that might happen to us, that no one would care if we were to die or shed a tear over our grave. Just take a moment and imagine how that would feel. It is truly a heart-breaking thought. Our Flower Angels are dedicated to our mission. For a year, we gather together in blizzards, fierce rainstorms and heat waves to recycle, deconstruct and make magnificent bouquets with the soul purpose of adding a ray of hope and sunshine to someone we have never met knowing we will receive nothing in return but a peaceful and happy heart.

Mara is beaming with love for her Dad who has generously offered to donate $5000 on her behalf toward the purchase of a much needed van for our mission. We are very grateful that Steel Systems Engineering has joined the prestigious Hyannis Rotary Club to partner with our greatly loved Flower Angels USA’s charitable organization on Cape Cod.
The Flower Angel van, wrapped in an array of colorful flowers with our mascot Angel Grace, will be a vibrant moving billboard prominently and permanently displaying the names of our Gold Level sponsors as we travel Cape-wide delivering random acts of love and warming many hearts. A year ago, Flower Angels, a cause for good, was created by Mara and her Mom to honor the memory of her grandmother, Helen Carter of Provincetown. We are a green company and use recycled vases and repurposed flowers to spread floral love to everyone who needs a little sunshine. While deconstructing dozens of roses, Mara enjoys being our Flower Angel DJ…always making sure our busy volunteers have perky music to keep us going as we arrange 200+ bouquets each week. Mara is our travel navigator and a shining star in the nursing homes where her sunny personality brings lots of joy and smiles to many. We love you Mara!
