What has love got to do with it? Everything!

We love our beautiful wedding flowers, the brides who donated them and Karen Rood, the wonderful event planner at Wychmere Beach Club who is always making sure we get the SUVs full of splendid flowers. And we love our Flower Angel volunteers! After a very busy week arranging tons of gorgeous wedding flowers, Suzanne, RO, and Gail are kicking up their legs and having a lot of fun at Menopause the Musical. Flower Angels work hard and have a lot of fun at our workshop. Sometimes we dance and sometimes we sing—lots of smiles and laughter—stop by and join an awesome group of women joyfully doing wonderful work for others!

We welcome our new volunteers, Strell, Patty and Luanne who have sprouted their wings! They are creating spectacular bouquets that bring grins from ear to ear to the patients in the nursing homes throughout the Cape. You girls rock!

We’re singing in the sunshine…Flower Angels has delivered more than 3000 bouquets, bringing random acts of love to many.

We are delighted to have reached a significant milestone of 3000+ bouquets that have been happily delivered to people in nursing homes, hospice, a couple of assisted living facilities, and Dennis and Yarmouth Meals on Wheels patients bringing lots of joy and sunshine to many recipients. Last week we made 54 bouquets for loan to the Jimmy Fund event in Harwich, collected then delivered them to the nursing homes. This week we were blessed with magnificent flowers galore brides donated from their Hyannisport Club and Wychmere Beach Club weddings. As always, our loyal floral provider, Trader Joes donated lots of flowers for our worthy and much needed mission.

This little light of mine…I’m gonna let it shine…

Ro, Suzanne, Irene, Gail, Kathleen, Sandy, Karen, Catherine, Irene, Jean, Jane and Daiva are letting their light shine! Smiles galore depict our love for our work and each member of our 30 awesome Flower Angel family. Dedicated volunteers joyfully recycle and repurpose flowers regularly donated to us from Trader Joes and magnificent wedding venues. Since May we have cheerfully delivered nearly 2800 bouquets Cape-wide to patients in nursing homes, hospice and assisted living facilities, Spaulding Rehab and Meals On Wheels clients. Our mission is to uplift spirits and bring a little sunshine to those who have few, if any, visitors. Patients are delighted to have monthly visits from the Flower Angels.

Stacey, our dynamo Director of Publicity is our newest Flower Angel. She has obtained the Land Ho in Harwich for our first annual fundraising event on November 2 from 2 PM to 4 PM and is guiding us along the way. We are thrilled to have Stacey on our team and thank Dillion for his kindness and generosity for donating his family restaurant.
